Roger Laing G. formerly of Lynnfield, April 20, 2013 at age 55. Beloved son of the late George and Shirley (Whiton) Laing. Loving step son of Virginia Laing of Florida. Devoted brother of David Laing and his wife Mary of Woburn, Bonnie Laing and her wife Shelly of Milford. Dear uncle of David Laing Jr. and his wife Kim of Wilmington, Brad Laing and his wife Lauren of Littleton, Jamie Ferguson and her husand James of Haverhill. Great uncle of Alyson, Nathan and Connor. Francisco “Frank” Feliciano, 69, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife, Hilda E. (Fonseca) Feliciano; children Anna Lisette Duncan, Omaira Rollans, Isabel Feliciano, Frank Rollans, Frank Feliciano II, Jessica Feliciano, and Carinne Feliciano-Gibson; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers- Antonio and Jesus Feliciano, 3 sisters- Josephine, Aida, and Iriada Feliciano; and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers- Edwin and Alberto Feliciano. Francisco was born in Puerto Rico, son of Jose and Antonia (Escudero) Feliciano. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, and proudly served his country in the army and National Guard. He worked as a business manager for Kay Jewelers for many years. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 6, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. TAUNTON – Manuel Pinheiro, son of Jose and Maria T. (Moitoso) Pinheiro, Sr. of Taunton, died on May 5, 2013 due to injuries sustained in a boating accident. He was 47. Born in Galt, Ontario, Canada, he moved to Taunton in 1966 and graduated from Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School in 1984. A retired custodian, he was employed by the Canton School Department for over 20 years. He was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church. In addition to his parents, he leaves two sons, Nicholas and Daniel Pinheiro, both of Taunton; two brothers, Antonio Pinheiro and his wife Grace, and Angelo Pinheiro and his wife Betsy, all of Taunton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jose Pinheiro, Jr. His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday May 10th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. New Bedford – Daniel Nobrega, age 91 years, died on Sunday May 12, 2013 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford after a long period of declining health. He was the beloved widower of Juliette (Audette) Nobrega. Born in Fall River and living most of his life in this area, Daniel is the son of Maria (Freitas) and Manuel Nobrega. Mr. Nobrega worked as a Custodian in an elastic factory and was also a prize fighter for many years. He fulfilled his military duty by serving in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Daniel was a participant at Elder Haven Adult Day care. His family includes his 4 children: Sharon Blanchard, wife of the late Philip, of Rochester, Ma, Joyce Bruni-Jared and her husband Kevin, of Virginia, Gerard Nobrega and his wife Cheryl of Taunton, Ma and the late Bruce Nobrega; 3 siblings: the late Edmund Nobrega, the late Ralph Nobrega and the late Ruth Gomes; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews In accordance with his wishes, Daniel will be cremated. North Andover — Elizabeth M. Pendak, 56, passed away gracefully and surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, May 3, following a courageous battle with lymphoma. Beth was born on October 24, 1956, the fourth daughter of Elizabeth May and Walter Pendak. Raised in North Andover, Beth spent her childhood playing outside with friends and developed a keen sense of adventure. After graduating from North Andover High School in 1974, she spent a year backpacking through Europe before attending Salem State College and Merrimack College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. A love of reading led Beth to become a career librarian. In various capacities, she worked at public libraries in Methuen, North Andover and Lawrence before moving to Rowley in 1993 and later becoming a reference librarian at Newburyport Public Library. A loving mother of two sons, Jared and Keith, Beth never relinquished her adventurous spirit. She vacationed every summer in cottages at Hampton Beach, N.H. In 1999, Beth moved the family to Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula to serve as a literacy advocate with Americorps. She returned to Rowley a year later and met her future husband, Marby Penton, at Hampton Beach in 2001. In 2003, the family went on a month-long road trip across the USA, visiting various points on the eastern seaboard, the Gulf Coast, the Southwest and the Rocky Mountains. A talented gardener, Elizabeth maintained a bountiful plot in Georgetown and was well known for making the best homemade tomato sauce. Beth is predeceased by her brother, Tommy, and parents, Walter and Betty Pendak. Along with her two sons, Beth is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Gerrie and Ray Berube and Mary and Richard Fisher of North Andover and Nancy and David Toto of Salem, N.H. She is also survived by her brother, Joe, of Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday, May 7th, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, No. Andover, MA. HUDSON, NH – Douglas Bratton, 47, a resident of Hudson, NH for the past 18 years and formerly of Chelmsford, MA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 7, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Christine J. (Nastek) Bratton with whom he celebrated 22 years of marriage in October. He was born in Lowell on February 15, 1966 and was the son of Raymond W. and Jean C. (MacDonald) Bratton of Chelmsford. Doug was a 1984 graduate of Nashoba Valley Technical High School and was a Master Craftsman in the machining industry. For the past 5 years he was employed at Robinson Precision Tool in Hudson and had previously worked for Breyers Ice Cream in Framingham. Doug was a member of Teamsters Local 25 in Charlestown. He was an avid antique car enthusiast who loved attending auto shows and working on antique cars and trucks. An animal lover, Doug as liked spending time at the beach. What brought Doug the most joy was time spent with his loving family. In addition to his wife and parents, Doug is survived by his children; Derek R. Bratton and Danielle L. Bratton, both of Hudson, NH. He is also survived by a brother P. Scott Bratton, Attorney at Law and his wife Catherine of Carlisle, sister Victoria L. Bratton of Devens, brother-in-law Scott Nastek of Lowell, sister-in-law Donna Musiel and her husband Brian of Ohio, and his nieces and nephews; Colin S. Bratton and Rachel M. Bratton, both of Carlisle, Camille L. Bratton of Devens, and Jennifer Christopher of New Mexico. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 o’clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery following the Mass.
