Charles W. “Billy” Davis 69, of Marlborough and formerly of Natick died unexpectedly Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Marlborough Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Mary E. (McGann) Davis with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. A Marlborough resident for the past 6 years and of Natick for the previous 29 years he was born in Waltham the son of the late Charles W. and Alice (Schools) Davis. Mr. Davis was the owner and operator of Billy’s Catering and Canteen Company which he ran for 40 years in the Metro West area retiring in 2011. He was an avid Boston sports fan especially of the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins and was a longtime supporter of Notre Dame Football. Billy was often described as a “character”, by his many loyal customers, friends and neighbors, known for his sense quick humor and appreciation of so many people he interacted with in his catering profession. He enjoyed the weekly lottery drawings and walking with his beloved dog, Panda. Above all he devoted to his family and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by his 5 loving daughters, Michelle Wetzel and her husband Keith of Worcester, Robin Faherty and her husband Mark of Norton, Cherilyn Rancourt and her husband Pierre of Woburn, Kelly Davis of Worcester, Corey Davis of Marlborough, his sisters and brothers Betty Ann Giusti of Hudson, Janice Laffin of Framingham, Jack Davis of Waltham, Judy Sumner of Waltham, Linda Frost of Waltham, Ron Davis of FL, 7 grandchildren, Colin Faherty, McKenzie Faherty, Jace Wetzel, Zack Wetzel, Presley Rancourt, Brayden Rancourt, Jackie Kelley and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Sandra Gregorio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Linus Church on Saturday, January 5, at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours are Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common. Interment Calvary Cemetery Waltham.
