Norman J. Radwich, 83, formerly of 201 Lenox Rd. in Richmond,died Wednesday Nov 7th at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield. He was born in Pittsfield on August 7, 1929 the son of Alexander and Minnie Colburn Radwich and was educated in the Dalton and Hinsdale Schools. He made his home in the town of Washington, MA where he operated a dairy farm and where he was a former selectman. He moved to West Stockbridge in 1962 where he owned and operated a grocery store and also worked for the Petricca Construction Co. retiring in 1992 In 1969 he and his late wife the former Elizabeth McNeil who died in 2005 built a home in Richmond where he loved gardening. Beside his gardening he enjoyed bowling, card playing , square dancing and was called upon many times to do square dance calling. He leaves his two sons Paul Radwich and his wife Theresa of Fantana, CA and N. Joseph Radwich and his wife Mary of Pepperell, MA; four grandchildren Maria, Joseph, Craig and Emily and his great grandchildren Christopher, Ryan, Oliver, Julian and Isabel. He was predeceased by his brothers Elmer, Arnold, Irving, and Ralph Radwich; his sisters Edith Boyce and Charlotte Williams. The Funeral for Norman Radwich will be held Tuesday morning Nov. 13th at 10am at the Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Neil pastor of the First Congregational Church in Lee officiating. Burial will follow the West Stockbridge Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee, will be Monday from 2-5.
