Minot A. Frye, age 61 years, of Wenham, passed away Tuesday evening, May 2, 2017 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Allen F. and Elisabeth (Caswell) Frye. He attended Shore Country Day School in Beverly and was a graduate of St. George’s School in Middletown, R.I. Minot received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. Mr. Frye was a member of the Wenham Planning Board, Manchester Yacht Club and the Trustees of the Reservation. Minot will be remembered for his love of music, the ocean, and the mountains and he shared these passions with many. Surviving him are three daughters, Anna E. Frye of Boston, Lucy F. Frye of Boston and Jane A. Frye of Denver, Colo.; and one son, Minot A. Frye Jr. of Cambridge. He was also the brother of the late Lydia Sherwood. Minot’s Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 705 Hale Street, Beverly on Friday, May 12th, 2017 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A reception to follow.
