Joan M. (Forrest) Brown 78, beloved wife of the late Chester A. Brown, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Beverly Hospital. Born in Gloucester, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Louise M. (LaBelle) Forrest. She was raised in Gloucester and Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School, Class of 1957. Mrs. Brown had been employed for forty one years at Osram Sylvania on Sylvan Street in Danvers until the time of her retirement in 1998. She was a member of the Sylvania Employee Association and the Quarter Century Club. A resident of Beverly for most of her life, Joan had a very loving and giving heart. She was also a devoted sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving her are two sisters, Lois A. MacGillivray of Beverly and Nancy E. Trepanier and her husband, Robert of Beverly, two brothers, Robert P. “Bo Bo” Forrest and his companion, Kathy Fontaine of Beverly and Richard L. Forrest and his wife, Janice of Beverly and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Monday, May 15, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. A visiting hour will be held on Monday prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in the North Beverly Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to Beverly Bootstraps, 35 Park Street, Beverly, MA 01915.
